David Lythgoe is a partner at the Belgrade-based company Halifax Consulting. The company was founded in 2001 to provide development consulting services in emerging Balkan markets. Its translation division was formed in 2008 when it led an EU-funded project to translate 16,000 pages of EU legislation in consortium with Ciklopea, completing it successfully in record time. Since then, Halifax has become one of the leading language service providers in Serbia.
David has for many years worked as a project designer and writer of technical proposals and other technical documents. From his background in architecture he specialized in construction project management followed by broader development aid management, company management and now translation management. David has a BSc in physics, and MA in architecture and speaks English, Danish, French and rather imperfect Serbian.
